Mihalis Safras - Cry For The Last Dance LP

Greek DJ/producer & label manager Mihalis Safras released his first album on cd on Riley Reinhold´s label Trapez ltd.

So now what do we get? We get a full year of what i consider is the best of what Mr. Safras has ever released.

Taking in minimal, tech house and techno with some nice tribal influences, the collection compiles twelve previously unreleased tracks. In my opinion most of the tracks will work perfectly in a dark club setting, as most of them are pretty deep, still extremely powerful.

The album is very versatile and gives a good insight in Safras musical taste & style - there are several highlights on "Cry For The Last Dance" and some of them are my absolute favourite tracks this year... i highly recommend checking out the whole album - for me its the "album of the year 2009" to this point.

Marek Hemmann - Gemini EP

On both tracks Marek Hemman showcases his great production skills and delivers 2 summer dancefloor killers - The side A track "Inessa" is the deeper one but still grooves relentlessly, it bounces along driven by energetic vocal cuts.

The side B track "Gemini" is probably one of the few "real summer hits" of this year. Its amazing how perfectly each element of the track (the drums, the bass and the refreshing instrument) fits to form this piece of funkyness.

Hemmann´s "Gemini Ep" is definitely real jewel under the recent tech-house releases !
